The Padstow Obby Oss May Day in Cornwall is a great photography subject. I had already been to the event before, for an America magazine that is sadly no more - World and I.  That was back in 2004 but the event itself hasn't changed.

While running a teaching course for wildlife photography in north Devon a chance came that every photographer dreams of.  I saw a sparrow hawk moments after it had caught a wood pigeon, as I was driving along a main road. Fortunately there was very little traffic and my camera was on the back seat.
 

Being commissioned to shoot a magazine cover is always interesting and inevitably I make even more of an effort to get what the client wants.  However doing a ‘wrap’ cover was something new for me.  The woodland trust wanted a cover for a future edition of their magazine.

“Hello, I’m working for Stannah Stairlifts, could you do a photo shoot for us of our competition winner doing some rock climbing”?
